Janett, at your camp you manage to create such a generous environment where everyone gives of themselves, and you bring out the best in us — creativity, but also friendship and trust. We created and recorded an amazing number of great songs and demos in five days. Being coached by the wonderful Andreas Stone on top of that was the icing on the cake. Thank you!

I had the pleasure to attend the Costa Tropical Music Camp in May 2016 and I was pleasantly surprised by the whole event. Well organised and held in a very exotic and relaxing location in the south of Spain! At least two of the songs I co-wrote got released.
The Costa Tropical Music Camp is a songwriting camp held once or twice a year in Almuñécar in southern Spain. Songwriters from many different countries come here to write music, develop their craft and create new songs together. The connections made here have often been the starting point for lasting songwriting partnerships and have resulted in many great songs across a range of genres.
Participants work in their own rooms and bring the instruments and equipment they need to record simple demos. The focus is on writing great songs — the productions can be developed further afterwards.
I first came here in 2005 when I was able to borrow SKAP's apartment, and I fell in love with this little town, which offers a wonderfully inspiring setting between the mountains and the sea, where it is easy to let creativity flow freely. The songwriters stay in their own double rooms at a beautifully located hotel right by the sea. We have breakfast and lunch together at the hotel, and in the evenings we settle in at one of the cosy restaurants on the beach or in town.
